Introduction

Welcome to the Privacy Policy for Westwise Group. This website (the "Site") is owned and operated by Westwise Group, LLC ("Westwise Group," "we," "our," or "us").

At Westwise Group, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy describes how Westwise Group collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you visit www.westwisegroup.com or interact with any of our other websites, call center services, and related digital properties (collectively, the "Services"). This policy applies to all brands and websites operated by Westwise Group. By visiting the Site or using the Services, you agree to our Terms of Service and to our use, collection, and disclosure practices, and other activities described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue your use of our Services.

Information We Collect

We collect information from or about you in several ways, including information you provide to us directly, information we automatically collect when you use our Services, and information we receive from third parties.

Information You Provide to Us

When you use our Services, we may collect the following categories of personal information:

  • Identifiers: Name, email address, postal address, phone number, IP address, and other similar identifiers.
  • Customer Records: Legal information (such as case details, accident information, medical information, etc.) that you provide when seeking legal services.
  • Protected Classifications: Age, gender, disability status, or other characteristics that may be relevant to your legal matter.
  • Commercial Information: Products or services you have shown interest in, and other purchasing or consuming histories.
  • Internet Activity: Browsing history, search history, and information regarding your interaction with our websites or advertisements.
  • Geolocation Data: Physical location or movements based on IP address or mobile device, including email and chat.
  • Audio/Electronic Data: Voice recordings of calls with our call center, electronic messages, or other audio or visual information.
  • Professional Information: Current or past employment and education details, if relevant to your legal matter or if you apply for an open position at Westwise Group.
  • Inferences: Profile information reflecting your preferences, characteristics, behaviors, and attitudes.

Information We Collect Automatically

When you use our Services, we may automatically collect certain information about your device and usage, including:

  • Device Information: Browser type, operating system, device type (computer, tablet, mobile phone), identifiers, and settings.
  • Usage Data: Pages visited, time spent on pages, links clicked, and other actions taken on our Services.
  • IP Address and Ad ID: Your device's IP address and approximate location derived from it and Ad ID.
  • Log Files: Files that record events that occur in connection with your use of or interaction with the Service.
  • Cookies: Small data files stored on your device that act as a unique tag to identify your browser. We use two types of cookies: session cookies and persistent cookies. Session cookies make it easier for you to navigate our website and expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies help with personalizing your experience, remembering your preferences, and supporting security features. Additionally, persistent cookies allow us to bring you advertising both on and off the Service. Persistent cookies may remain on your device for extended periods of time, and generally may be controlled through your browser settings.
  • Pixels (web beacons): Code embedded in a website, video, email, or advertisement that sends information about your use to a server. There are various types of pixels, including image pixels and JavaScript pixels. When you access a website, video, email, or advertisement that contains a pixel, the pixel may permit us or a separate entity to drop or read cookies on your browser. Pixels are used in combination with cookies to track activity by a particular browser on a particular device. We may incorporate pixels from separate entities, including Facebook, that allow us to track our conversions, bring you advertising both on and off the Service, and provide you with additional functionality.
  • Device Fingerprinting: The process of analyzing and combining sets of data elements from your device's browser, such as JavaScript objects and installed fonts, to create a "fingerprint" of your device and uniquely identify your browser and device.

Internet-Based Advertising and Third-Party Tracking

We participate in interest-based advertising and use third-party tracking technologies to provide you with targeted advertisements and measurement services. We use analytics services to help us understand how users access and use the Services. We work with agencies, advertisers, ad networks, and other technology services to place ads about our products and services on other websites and services. For example, we place ads through Google and Meta and via other social media platforms that you may view on their platforms as well as on other websites and services. As part of this process, we may incorporate tracking technologies into our own Service (including our website and emails) as well as into our ads displayed on other websites and services. Some of these tracking technologies may track your activities across time and services for purposes of associating the different devices you use, and delivering relevant ads and/or other content to you ("Interest-based Advertising").

  • Meta Business Tools: We use Meta Business Tools, including the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversion API (CAPI). These tools allow us to track user actions on our website and send data to Meta (Facebook) to measure the effectiveness of our ads and create custom audiences for ad targeting.
  • Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics (a web service of Google LLC) to analyze website traffic, understand user behavior, and improve site performance. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information, such as pages visited and time spent, to help us improve our site and provide better content. The data generated is generally transmitted to and stored by Google in the US. You may opt out of this tracking at any time by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • Datadog: We use Datadog, Inc. ("Datadog") to monitor the performance and stability of our website and applications. Datadog collects performance metrics, log data, and, in some cases, anonymized data on user interactions to help us identify and fix errors, optimize system performance, and enhance security. For more information on Datadog's data practices, please visit their privacy policy.
  • Zoho Sales IQ: We use Zoho Sales IQ to enhance our website functionality and customer support. This service uses first-party cookies to collect data about your visit, including your IP address, browser type, and browsing behavior. This information is used for analytics and to provide real-time chat assistance. You may manage your cookie preferences at any time.
  • CallRail: We use CallRail to track and analyze the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. CallRail may record phone calls, transcribe conversations, and track web visitor behavior, such as which marketing source brought you to our site. This information is used to improve our services and marketing efforts. CallRail does not share your data with third parties and complies with strict data protection regulations.
  • Data Collection by Third Parties: We provide notice that third parties, including Meta, may use cookies, web beacons, and other storage technologies to collect or receive information from our Services and elsewhere on the internet and use that information to provide measurement services and target ads.
  • Server-Side Tracking (CAPI): Through the Conversion API, we may share certain personal identifiers (such as hashed email addresses or phone numbers) directly from our servers to Meta to better attribute conversions and improve ad performance.

Information from Third Parties

We may receive information about you from third parties, including:

  • Business Partners: Information from our business partners related to joint marketing efforts.
  • Service Providers: Information from service providers who help us with our business operations.

Please note that you are not required to provide this consent in order to obtain access to the Site or to view the Services, and your consent simply allows us and our designated third-party service providers, as applicable, to contact you via these means.

Please be advised that by agreeing to this Privacy Policy, you are obligated to immediately inform us if and when the telephone number that you have previously provided to us changes. Without limiting the foregoing, if you: (i) have your telephone number reassigned to another person or entity; (ii) give up your telephone number so that it is no longer used by you; (iii) port your telephone number to another provider (e.g., landline, mobile, or other provider); or (iv) otherwise stop using that telephone number for any reason (collectively "Phone Number Change"), you agree that you shall promptly notify us of the Phone Number Change via e-mail at privacy@westwisegroup.com or by using one of the methods set forth in the "Contact Us" section below.

We also share information to protect the rights, property, life, health, security and safety of us, the Service or anyone else.
  • Facilitating Requests: We share information at your request or direction.

We implement reasonable security measures designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.
